Hi everyone! I’m a sophomore at the University of Oregon and I’m majoring in advertising and minoring in business and digital arts. I love design, writing and photography. Lately I’ve been loving the styles of young creative professionals. Minimalism, neutral basics and touches of elegance describe what I consider to be the “creative professional’s style.”
If you ask my best friends, boyfriend or parents, they’ll tell you that I love clothes. I’ve been a Fashionista at heart since my kindergarten days when I threw a fit about wearing navy blue and white uniforms to school. Although I’m passionate about fashion and have a closet (and half of my boyfriend’s closet) full of clothes, I’m rarely willing to spend a lot of money on a piece of clothing.
My outfit featured in this article is made up of deals and steals. I found a white button-down and a peach cardigan during a trip to Goodwill. My jeans are super-skinny jeggings from American Eagle Outfitters, my boots are from Nordstrom Rack and my gold earrings are from Rue 21. Both my necklace and bracelet are gifts. The necklace is from my aunt’s boutique, The Wardrobe, in Davis, California and the bracelet is from Kohl’s. I wore my hair in a fish tail braid to add a unique touch to my outfit. It’s also a simple style to wear when I’m rushing to class or work!
My style is simple but elegant. My style icons are Emma Watson, Jennifer Aniston and Audrey Hepburn. I find inspiration from French and Greek styles and architecture. I love finding classic pieces that can stay in my closet for many seasons and can be worn in multiple ways. For example, I’ll wear this white button-down with a skirt or a pair of slacks and a blazer.
Although I love timeless pieces, I hope to spice up my style this summer by sharing unique fashion finds with you and getting inspiration from the styles that I write about on campus. Buckle your seatbelts for a summer full of fresh new styles!
