Hello again all my favorite Fashionistas! I am thrilled to be back for my third semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I am now a junior at Illinois State University studying Apparel Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration. My sense of adventure keeps me on my toes with fashion and trends all around the world. Coming from a small town, I love to get out there and go anywhere I can to learn more about what’s new in the world of fashion.
Now that I have escaped my small town lifestyle, I love to take trips to the city and explore all the edgy trends that roam the streets of Chicago or anywhere I go. Keeping a little bit of that edginess with me, I tend to feed off of that and create my own kind of street style. Like today for instance, I am wearing a simple pair of black leggings, a heeled combat boot and grey poncho. Though I am wearing more of a modern piece with the poncho, I still add my own little spunk to my look with the heeled combat boots.
I can confidently say my style has grown throughout my life and still is continuing to develop as I travel more and get myself out there with others who enjoy this as much as I do. Some days like today, I like to add that edgy twist to my looks and others I tend to go for a more bohemian look. It all depends on the day and the time of year, but that’s the best part about fashion. However you are feeling that day, you can express that through your outfit. As this semester goes on I will take on each day as it comes and embrace my style more and more. I can’t wait to share it with all of you Fashionistas!
