Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Are you here to because you love everything about fashion? Then stop now, because you have finally found what you’re looking for! During this fall semester, I will be discovering new styles that make up my college campus. When I think about fashion, I don’t think of it as just clothing or shoes. I think of it as a lifestyle, and a way that people express themselves in multiple ways.
Before our semester full of RAD fashion and style begin, you must know a little about my life and how I have gotten to where I am today. Born and raised in a town population of 19,831 called Rolla, Missouri there wasn’t much opportunity when it came to fashion. Growing up I was always into the clothes, accessories and whatever else there was that showed who I was in my very own way. But, my senior year of high school was when my passion for the fashion world became even stronger, all because of a teacher that has inspired me and still does to this very day. During senior year, I took a total of three fashion related classes (Fashion Design, Advanced Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing) and I loved them all! I now attend a four year University in Saint Charles, Missouri called Lindenwood. Majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Business Administration while obtaining my college cheer career and social life, you can say my hands are full.
If I could describe my style to someone, I would have to say that I wear it all. From that preppy monogrammed look to oversized sweatshirts and ripped boyfriend jeans, standing out and having fun while doing it is the key to my style. Now that you know a little about me and how I have gained a passion for fashion, stay tuned and follow my journey as the 2015 fall semester rolls on.
Today I am wearing that comfortable but cute striped dress, those perfect white Converse that just go with everything and don’t forget that plaid shirt. So let’s get going!
