Hey again fellow Fashionistas/os! Call me ‘Em’ for short. This is my second semester as a Style Guru with CollegeFashionista, and a lot has changed. I’m still that Jersey Shore native but have recently moved to the Big Apple. I’m a freshman in college who spent my first semester at a local community college and has now transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC! I’m studying fashion business management for my Associates Degree, and I am thinking about taking on advertising and marketing communications for my Bachelors Degree in a few years. My dream career is to be a global visual merchandiser for a fabulous well known company. Specifically global so I can travel while working. I find it ideal to be able to do what I love for a living: traveling and fashion merchandising. Attending FIT is a dream come true, so I’m excited to continue my journey here while sharing my style advice and adventures during the process.
I live in a small city apartment, so my wardrobe has become even more simplistic but always versatile. I seek pieces that can be worn from day to night yet still functional for class. My color palette consists of a lot of neutrals, but my style switches up daily depending on how I’m feeling. One day you can see me strutting an edgy look; the next, bohemian. One thing that remains the same throughout any outfit of mine is affordability. This college girl doesn’t have many bucks to blow!
The outfit that I’m pictured in above is a casual favorite. My Forever 21 sweater has a higher neck, easily being one of my go-to silhouettes. The top is paired with classic denim skinnies from PacSun with added frayed cuffs for an edge. I stepped into amazing booties by Steve Madden that rock a comfy heel. To finish off the look, I warmed up in a Forever 21 coat with silver detailing.
I am very happy to have signed back on for the spring 2017 semester! Being a Style Guru over this previous fall improved my writing skills and made me more confident in myself. Â I’m excited to meet other gurus on campus and see posts from across the globe. Here’s to another #RAD semester!
