“Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric.” – Bertrand Russell
Here I am, ready to kick off my first semester as a Style Guru. My name is Erica and I am a sophomore majoring in business. I live just outside of New York City and am completely in love with everything it has to offer. A bit about me: I am a total foodie, thrift store fanatic, crazy cat lady, lover of traveling, and all things involving creativity.
My style is frequently changing but when in doubt, I always turn to black or neutrals. It is mostly minimal because less is more, which is why I love statement pieces, such as my snakeskin booties from Urban Outfitters, worn above. Lately, my silver hoop earrings have been my go-to accessory for a ’90s retro vibe, which also compliments my ruffle rib turtleneck and basic leather jacket. This is an outfit I would wear to a day spent out, running errands, exploring the city, or even a dinner-date. I am a firm believer of dressing depending on my mood or how I am feeling. That being said, my style can range anywhere from everything baggy, t-shirt loving tomboy, to total chic girl boss in thigh high suede boots and a silk necktie scarf.
For 2017, my hopes and goals are to be bold when it comes to fashion and continue to be unapologetically confident when expressing my individuality through my style. Apart from fashion, I love writing, photography, and beauty. This internship allows me to connect all of these and share with others who also have a strong love for this creative platform.
Until next time!
