Hello again Fashionistas and Fashionistos! Erica here, back with you for another #RAD semester. Fall 2016 will be my third semester as a Style Guru, and I could not be more excited to be back posting for you all!
As some of you may know, I am currently a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (go Illini!), and this academic year I am a senior, preparing to finish up my degree in news-editorial journalism .
Each academic year, I anxiously await the arrival of students to campus. Every student, both new and returning, brings with them their own sense of style that I feel privileged to be able to document through being a Style Guru. It always fascinates me to see how one’s personality and personal history influence how they express themselves, specifically through fashion. It is also really cool to be able to watch the stylistic evolution of students from their freshman to senior year. Among other things, being on campus inspires and challenges me to push the limits of my own wardrobe, and always gives me a greater appreciation for the stylistic diversity of my peers.
This semester is also special to report on simply because of the season that takes place. I mean what is season is more collegiate than fall? Between all the events that happen on a university campus during the autumnal months, there is never a shortage of fashion inspiration to be had, and I will be doing my best to show that to you in my posts.
To conclude, I would like to thank you for your readership. Know that it is greatly appreciated and that I cannot wait to continue to show you a glimpse of the collegiate fashion in central Illinois.
