Hello friends! My name is Erica Spaeth. I am a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh and am studying Communications with a specialization in Fashion. I hope to go into the fashion industry one way or another, but I am still exploring all the opportunities from writing to merchandising, etc. I also love to write, watch movies, go shopping and take long walks with my dogs.
Lately, I have had a lot of fun experimenting with different accessories that can completely change an entire outfit. A lot of the time, the difference between two looks can lie within the change of shoes or a necklace. I personally have a lot of pants and shirts that I love to wear, so being able to change up accessories allows me to wear them more often while not repeating entire outfits too much! For instance, I’ll add my Ralph Lauren vest over my sweater in order to turn a fall look into a winter look. I’ll also add something shiny like a bracelet or watch to my wrist to add a little brightness to an otherwise very warm-colored outfit. Finally, brown boots go well with practically anything!
A designer I’ve had my eye on is Gucci. They have always been a well-known and loved designer for their luxury leather accessories. In their spring ready-to-wear collection, they mix colors and patterns by matching dresses with different colored shoes, bags, coats or even earrings. Since I’ve recently been experimenting with different colors and accessories, Gucci’s collection immediately caught my eye. I especially loved their use of vibrant shades of color, including neon.
Gucci has a long history of satisfying customers, and they’ve done it again!
