Hello my fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Estella Campisi and I am a junior at Penn State University majoring in Advertising. This is my first time writing for CollegeFashionista and I could not be more thankful for this opportunity! This summer I am thrilled to say that not only will I be blogging about the latest trends in New York, but I will also be studying abroad in one of the biggest Fashion Capitals in the world—Milan! I am so excited to see what fashion looks Milan has in store for me, but most importantly I can’t wait to share it with all of you.
Fashion has always been a huge passion of mine. I remember walking down the hallways of elementary school with bedazzled jean skirts and my favorite high heel boots thinking I was the trendiest little girl out there. Thankfully, my style has changed throughout the years. While I never like to miss an opportunity to get all dressed up, my everyday style is pretty laid back and comfy.
A few years ago, as I started to run out of space for clothes in my closet, my parents thought it would be fitting to turn our guest bedroom into a closet in order to fit my endless wardrobe. The closet has since become more of a mini-boutique considering how many of my friends come over to borrow clothes daily. I love giving fashion advice and dressing my friends and family for any occasion, especially with my clothes!
My mother has taught me everything I need to know about fashion. Because of her, I have a great balance of designer brands, while also being trained to walk straight to the sale rack whenever I walk into a store. I live by her motto: “Name-brand or no brand; if it’s cute buy it!”
Now let the fun begin!
