Hello fellow fashion aficionados! My name is Gabriella Wiltz and I’m a third year Dance major with a Video Arts minor at The Ohio State University. This is my first semester with CollegeFashionista! I am so honored to be a part of this new family and I’m also excited that I get to share it with all of you.
While I haven’t always considered myself to be a lover of fashion, I have always been a lover of the visual and the visceral. Being a dancer is the best of both worlds so I honestly couldn’t see myself majoring in anything else. During my first semester at OSU, I began to realize that a career in the arts field doesn’t come in black and white. Although I love to dance, I fell in love with video editing and production as well as rekindled a dying flame with writing via the upkeep of my e-portfolio/blog; this was all because of my major. The possibilities are endless and that is how I ended up here. Being a Style Guru is giving me the opportunity to indulge in the things that I already love in a new way.
What’s my personal style in one word? Simple. My wardrobe is filled with simple and functional clothing that I can mix-and-match with other items to create completely different looks. For today’s post, I decided to throw on a summery slip dress and a pair of simple sandals but I’ve also worn this dress with a pair of Converse and a chunky sweater. I also keep it very simple when I accessorize. The necklace for this outfit was a recent gift from my best friend’s trip to Italy this summer. I wear these two rings everyday because they have sentimental value. To top off this outfit for a day in the sun, you can never go wrong with aviators!
I am in completely new territory, but I am eager to share campus fashion with you all and learn about myself along the way too! Stay tuned for my monthly articles!
