Hello everyone and happy summer!
My name is Gabrielle Burbary and I am currently going into my junior year at Michigan State University studying broadcast journalism and entrepreneurship and innovation. I am so beyond excited to get started with my first semester interning for CollegeFashionista. I can’t wait to share my love for great outfits, accessories and overall unique style!
Along with my passion for beauty, makeup and fashion, I also enjoy spending any free time with my family and identical twin sister. When I’m not on the lookout for the next best pair of jeans that aren’t  too long on me, (short girl problems) you can usually find me with a wonderful bowl of macaroni and cheese—my favorite food!
My inspiration and motivation growing up have really stemmed from my mother and father. Both of them have shown me what it’s like to have a passion for your dream and to follow through with it, which is why I feel it’s so important to never give up on what you truly love to do. My personal style truly has no rules or specific label, and I enjoy it because it allows me to feel like myself. Whether that means I am in a lace, detail baby pink sundress with glitzy drop down earrings, or if I’m wearing ripped skinny jeans, sandals and a loose white T-shirt. My style totally depends on whatever mood I’m in for the day.
In my post above, you can see me featured in one of my favorite fun and flirty summer outfits, complete with an adorable pair of detailed earrings from H&M. I am also featured wearing a mauve bodysuit from Windsor which pairs perfectly with my cream colored skater skirt. To tie the look together, I am wearing my lace-up pumps from Charlotte Russe because I felt like a flared skirt with detailed shoes were a match made in heaven. All in all this color scheme is wonderful for a summer wardrobe because it incorporates delicate colors that can match with many pieces in your closet.
I personally feel that fashion has no rules or limitations, this is why I’m so excited to meet other individuals that feel inspired by what they choose to wear each and every day.
