Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Gabrielle Tumminia, but please call me Gabby. I’m currently in the process of starting my first year as a transfer sophomore at Johnson and Wales University. I’m majoring in hospitality and tourism management, mostly due to my love and fascination with traveling the world. I’m brand new to this CollegeFashionista world, but very eager and excited for what’s to come!
All my life, I’ve been into and in love with fashion. Fashion allows a person to experiment with their identity and persona as often as they’d like. Expressing yourself with different shirts, pants and accessories brings me great joy. Along with expression, I like to believe that fashion provides great influence on myself and the people around me. Every day I find myself looking through magazines and on Pinterest for my daily fashion influence. With that being said, my personal style is kind of all over the place.
I’ve never been the type of person to stick with one, distinct style. My personal style changes day to day depending on the mood I’m in. One day I can look like a bohemian princess, and the next day I can appear to be the next greatest rock star. I’m also a big fan of DIY fashion, as you can probably see when looking at my custom jacket. This denim jacket is still, and always will be a work in progress. I’ve spent months collecting the right patches and pins to allow my entire identity to scream at people as I walk past them. When wearing this jacket, my style is edgy meets funky, and I love it so much.
I’m so honored that I’ll get to share my love of fashion with my fellow Fashionistas/os! I’ve always enjoyed writing, and look forward to the opportunities this platform is going to give me. Having an outlet to express creativity and fashion sense is something that is so needed in this world, and I can’t wait to continue sharing my ideas with everyone!
