Hello everyone! My name is Gisele Smith, and this is my second semester as a Style Guru. I loved being able to share my creativity with CollegeFashionista last semester, so I am so excited to join the team once again.
When it comes to me, I’m a pretty simple gal. I love fashion and music, and most things in my life revolve around that. My major is journalism, and my dream would be to become the editor-in-chief of a magazine like Glamour or InStyle. I know it’s a big dream, but what’s living a full life without some big dreams?
In terms of my style, it has definitely evolved over my time in college. When I began school, I lived in the safe zone. From a closet full of solids and basics, my wardrobe has come a long way. These days, solids are few and far in between. My love of patterns blossomed as a freshman, and it hasn’t slowed down since. I love to make a statement with clothing; it’s the perfect way to show your personality, and like the famous quote says, “Life’s too short to wear boring clothes.”
The outfit that I am wearing in this picture is a classic Gisele ensemble. Bold pattern— check. Romper—check. Gladiator sandals—check. Statement necklace—check. Last but not least, a classic black bag finishes it off. While I love experimenting with new styles and trends constantly, nothing beats your go-to.
