Hello, hello loves! I am Giulia Ruozzi and I am currently a freshman at Philadelphia University studying Fashion Merchandising. I was born and raised in one of the biggest metropolises in the world, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and moved to United States when I was 12 years old. I moved to a small town in Pennsylvania and that was a big transition. I have always loved the city, full of people, lights and energy. Small towns are not for me, that is one of the reasons why I decided to go to school in Philadelphia.
Although I am a city girl, I am also an ocean lover and where is the best place where you can get the city life combined with the beach vibe? The city of angels! Los Angeles is my definition of heaven and ever since I went there last summer I knew that I belonged there. I plan on moving to LA as soon as I am done with college. I am going to buy a cute loft and a black labrador, whom I am going to call Lilo, and live my Californian dream working with fashion.
I have always wanted to do fashion. When I was 11-years-old I watched The Devil Wears Prada for the first time and I fell in love with that atmosphere. Seeing all that glamour and hard work made me realize that fashion is what I was meant to do, and ever since I started my major I have fell more in love with it.
Another passion of mine is fitness and nutrition. I am always taking care of my body on the inside and on the outside. I practice yoga and meditation daily and my favorite sport is surfing. I don’t know how to surf yet, but I do watch all the competitions and I plan on learning soon. In case you were wondering, Gabriel Medina and John John Florence are my favorite surfers.
As for my outfit choice I have a bohemian style. I decided to wear the blue poncho because it is a great piece for this winter and it defines my style. I also wore my favorite pair of jeans from Kenneth Cole Reaction, and they are pretty much the only pair of jeans that I wear. The long blue coat is also a great statement piece. The color is very vibrant and in case you couldn’t tell blue is my favorite color. As for accessories you will always see me wearing some kind of jewelry. Rings are my favorites, the green one that I am wearing I got at a cute little shop in Brazil. Shoes are my thing. I am as obsessed as Carrie Bradshaw, and since I am short I am always trying to wear some kind of heel. I chose the brown wedges because they are very comfortable and they go with everything.
I just want to say how thrilled I am to be part of this beautiful and stylish team and I can’t wait to write articles for all the lovely CollegeFashionista readers. I sure do have a lot of opinions and thoughts and I am beyond excited to share with you guys.
