Hey everyone! It’s Grace, and I’m back for my third semester at CollegeFashionista––bringing you the trends and styles from the University of Wisconsin-Madison! I am a Legal Studies and Criminal Justice junior at Madison and working towards my goal of attending law school after graduation. I’m so excited to have worked with CollegeFashionista for a full year now, and I can’t wait to see what the summer has in store!
Even though my major doesn’t directly relate to it, fashion has always been one of my biggest passions throughout the course of my life. Even to this day, as an adult I love to play dress up and feel great in the clothes that I wear! Look good, feel good, right?
Lately, I have been really into striped pieces and I think they’re great for summer. For my look, I started with my new favorite black and white striped T-shirt paired with some high-waisted black shorts. To add some dimension to the look, I added my go-to denim jacket. Summer in Wisconsin can be kind of weird, where it’s hot during the day and a bit chilly at night. By pairing this jacket over my outfit, it allows me to adjust to the changing temperatures.
To make this look stand out, I’ve paired it with gold and British Tan accessories. These cute booties have been a staple in my wardrobe lately, and go with almost anything! This matching bag has been a staple for me, too––it’s large enough where I can carry everything I need for the day and still look stylish! Finally, the gold accessories really tie everything together––like I’ve always said, it’s the accessories that make the outfit!
