Hi everyone! My name is Hailey Ingraham, and I study broadcast journalism and French at the University of South Carolina. I have always known I have a passion for writing, but it wasn’t until recently that I discovered just how much fashion means to me, which brought me to CollegeFashionista!
For me, the best fashion is born from taking risks. In the halls sophomore year of high school, I was the girl in gold sequin UGGs and an array of other articles of clothing that pushed the boundary of “normal.” At the time, I picked clothing that made me happy, not taking into account what others would said about it. Were all of my outfits successful? Probably not (okay… definitely not!), but taking these risks not only influenced my personal style to evolve, but it also helped me to become the strong person I am now. And if you’re wondering, I have retired my gold sequin UGGs, but I still wear that same confidence today. And in the end, confidence is the most important accessory (besides a purse, of course).
For this look, I paired a long sleeve green turtleneck bodysuit with an embroidered mini skirt. To show a little skin I ditched the tights and put on a pair of black over-the-knee suede boots. For an extra pop I slung on my Kate Spade Minnie Mouse satchel and some gold hoop earrings.
I’m honored to have received this opportunity to join the #GuruGang, and I’m eager to seek out all of you Fashionistas at USC! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to indulge in some sassy pictures and seriously on-point captions.
