Welcome back friends and fellow Fashionista/os! I’m so excited to jump start my third semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista and my junior year at Michigan State University. I’m currently studying Professional Writing with a concentration in both Editing and Publishing and Digital and Technical Writing while taking business classes on the side. This fall I’ll be working a lot (to fund my expensive taste, you understand) and taking on the role as social media director for my college’s student-run fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine–VIM Magazine and of course, bringing you the latest and greatest from MSU’s campus.
Ever since I can remember I’ve loved fashion (I have Teen Vogue issues dating back to ‘06) but have wanted to pursue a million different careers. Thankfully, CollegeFashionista has really paved the way for what I want my future to look like. Whether it be in digital media, publishing, or branding, I know I want to be creatively involved and manning the social media handles! You can almost always find me scrolling through my Instagram feed, browsing Refinery29 or flipping through a magazine (obsessed with Teen Vogue lately).
My personal style ranges anywhere from classic chic to a summer boho look. But this summer I’ve been obsessed with off-the-shoulder tops/dresses and bandanas. Together or not, these two pieces amp up an outfit no matter what. I love how the off-the-shoulder tops have a cool-girl feel without being too revealing. And of course, bandanas just make any outfit that much more fun. I’m always coming back to my favorite pair of timeless boyfriend jeans from Topshop, they’re so easy to dress up or down no matter the season.
I can’t wait to share Michigan State’s midwest style! Let’s have a #RAD semester, Style Gurus!
