Hey Guru Gang! I am entering my second semester of my junior year at Oregon State University. I am currently studying merchandising management with the goal of working in the fashion industry. Attending college all the way on the west coast, far from my beloved city of Chicago, has definitely affected my personal style choices and exposed me to styles I hadn’t seen before. I am stoked to be apart of CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru because I am always looking for new trends on campus to incorporate into my look.
I can believe that most of you know the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words,” I think this holds true with fashion especially. You can tell a lot about a person on campus just by what they chose to wear that day and how they present themselves. By looking at my outfit of choice you can tell if I am stressed, excited, relaxed, etc. I’ve always loved that about fashion, it’s a silent form of expression that can say so much.
Describing my style in one word is quite impossible. I think my style changes day to day but I definitely can say it is a combination of classic, minimal and retro inspired. For this look, I paired my plum colored flare corduroy pants with a chunky gray sweater. On my feet, I am wearing my simple black leather booties. For accessories, I am wearing my favorite orange leather purse with fun fringe! I usually wear a lot of black and neutrals, so my bright orange bag is a perfect pop of color. I love this look because it is extremely comfortable but still perfect for numerous occasions, like going to class, shopping or to lunch with friends!
I hope you all enjoyed this look and I encourage you to keep up with all of my articles! Follow me on social media to make sure you never miss a beat.
