Hey there, Fashionistas and Fashionistos! To reintroduce myself, my name is Hayley Bolanz and I am just starting my sophomore year here at Kent State University.
This new school year brings about change and I could not be more excited for it.
As a magazine journalism major, there were so many concentrations I could choose from to focus on, but of course I chose fashion. Starting my fashion media minor this fall, amongst all other things, has me feeling some type of way and let’s just say I definitely won’t be sleeping in on Mondays. Having the opportunity to take classes at one of the best fashion schools in the country just makes the future feel all the more real.
With that being said, I cannot wait for my first official school semester with CollegeFashionista and for all of the fun and funky finds I will come across on campus.
You can find me around in anything from sneakers and jeans to a sundress and lace-up flats – given that Kent’s weather decides to cooperate that day. Being in the windy city of Kent, and having to walk all the way across our hilly campus daily, I tend to travel from class to class in mainly jeans and tank tops as seen here.
I found this top at H&M while on a girl’s weekend trip to Columbus and I have never been more in love. I’ve paired it with dress pants and heels for more formal occasions as well as with sneakers for a street wear look. In this case, I wore it with a pair of simple dark jeans and Adidas sneakers. To add a little more edge, I added a metal chocker and pop of ruby red lipstick. If you know me, you know that I never leave the house without throwing on some lip color.
