Hello Everyone! My name is Hayley, and I am a Junior at Kent State University studying fashion merchandising with a minor in fashion media and costume design. I am currently “studying abroad” at our New York City studio this spring semester (after being in Florence, Italy in the fall). This is my first semester being a part of CollegeFashionista, and I’ve heard some great things about the internship!
I have a huge passion for fashion (duhh!) as well as the social media aspect behind the industry. After studying at Kent State for the past few years, my style has evolved from girly skirts and dresses to a more refined, sophisticated, and monotone look. I’ve learned about the different paths in the industry, and I am excited to experience the city for all it has to offer! I think that fashion is a way to not only express yourself, but a way to exude a conversation without even speaking. That is why I find it so magical and intriguing; it has a way of transforming into anything you want it to be!
For this look, I paired a multi-layered and flowing Free People top with a more structured and vintage Levi’s jacket, which I got on sale! I decided to keep things simple from the waist down with a nice pair of black ripped jeans and Sam Edelman booties, which are perfect for the colder months.
I hope you find inspiration from this look and are able to come up with something similar because it has to be one of my favorites!
