Hey guys! My name is Hayley Handy. I am a junior at West Virginia University. I study fashion merchandising and have a minor in business administration and public relations. I took on the “Wild and Wonderful” West Virginia for my four years of college but was born and raised by the Jersey Shore in a town called Howell. After college I would love to start my career on a merchandising team. My dream is to work for a designer or fashion company in New York City which is only an hour away from my hometown. Capturing fashion to be aesthetically pleasing through photography is right up my ally, along with blogging and social media!
I believe fashion is what you make it. You do not need to spend money to keep up with the latest trends and styles. Pulling pieces together from your wardrobe and layering/ accessorizing could make your look come a long way! Fast fashion stores like Forever21 and stores such as Marshall’s also help you stay on your budget and in style.
For this look, I tucked in an oversize, ripped sweater into my button-front mini skirt, all from Forever 21. The olive green skirt really brought some color to glam up my styled outfit. I love to accessorize. I often do so with jewelry and purses. The long necklace makes the look really pop with a vintage vibe. My tan clutch is by Jessica Simpson but from T.J. Maxx along with my brown over the knee suede boots. The sweater and the over the knee suede boots are a great start to reflect my winter wardrobe.
I look forward to my first semester as a Style Guru. I am extremely excited and thankful for this opportunity to blog and progress in the fashion/ business world. I hope everyone enjoys my look!
