Hey Fashionistas/os! I’m Hayley and I am beyond thrilled to be a Style Guru! I am an Advertising major and new sophomore at Quinnipiac University. I completed my freshman year at Indiana University Bloomington, and am transferring to Quinnipiac this semester! It’s been such a crazy ride and I am so excited to not only start at a new school, but also use my first semester to write for CollegeFashionista!
I have always been interested in fashion, but never really understood what my style was. When I was younger, it was the classic Abercrombie & Fitch shirt and Hollister Co. shorts and possibly a Juicy Couture sweatsuit here and there. As I grew up, I realized just how important looking my best was to feeling my best. Now, I would describe my style as trendy or girly, with just a touch of grunge.
I learned a lot about myself as I came into my own style, and I think that’s what got me so intrigued with fashion. It’s not about wearing the most expensive jacket, or having the nicest pair of shoes, but rather how your outfits can express just how you feel that day, or how you want the world to see you. I think having that power is incredibly cool.
That being said, I can’t wait to see where the next chapter of my fashion journey takes me, and I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to share it with all of you!
