I have captured a diverse assortment of street style in some of the trendiest cities in the world, from Rome to Philadelphia. I am ready for my last semester as a returning Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.
Just like my blogging experience, my taste in clothing is all over the map. I will shop almost anywhere and everywhere and have a strong affinity for anything vintage.
Delicate, beaded pieces along with velvet and brocade fabrics comprise the majority of my wardrobe. I love to mix prints and textures and juxtapose thrift-store finds with name-brand clothing.
I have never been one to deliberately follow trends. My inspiration comes from virtually any person or place, so I don’t limit myself to any specific style. The most important thing is to dress for my mood and the look that I am trying to convey.
Sometimes I will dress more edgy in oversized silhouettes, darker colors and motorcycle boots. Other times, I will wear a blazer with a floral dress and wedges. Although my day-to-day style can get pretty bohemian, I will always be a girly-girl at heart.
The common denominator in my aesthetic is that I always polish everything off with accessories. No look is complete without coordinating jewelry and the right pair of shoes.
My inherent love for fashion has led me to study fashion industry management at Philadelphia University, where I am currently entering my last semester. Through my studies, I have found that I am less interested in working in the production, buying and merchandising fields and more interested in writing about them.
Journalism is my way of expressing my thoughts and knowledge, whether it be a fashion news story or common style advice. I hope to one day write for a magazine and feel that my experience at CollegeFashionista has brought me one step closer to my dreams.
