Hi everyone, I’m Hayley and I’m super excited to be returning as a Style Guru at CollegeFashionista this spring. Last semester was great and I am looking forward to all of the new fashion trends this season! I am currently a sophomore Business and Communications student at Villanova University, just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am originally from New York and my dream is to one day return to the city and use my degrees and experience to work in the fashion industry.
Fashion will always be my first love. Ever since I can remember, I have always dreamed of one day working in the fashion industry. One of my favorite things to do is attend fashion week in the city. Some of my favorite designers include Stacey Bendet, Tory Burch and Gabrielle Chanel.
My style is constantly evolving but it will forever have an element of edge. I love basic clothing items in dark tones that I can add edgy pieces to. My favorite accessory is a classic bag or a statement necklace. I am always on the lookout for new trends and consider myself a hardcore shopaholic.
Today, I am wearing a classic winter outfit. I grabbed my favorite pair of black J Brand jeans. They are a staple in my wardrobe and go with just about anything. Next, I paired it with a burgundy Topshop studded sweater. I really like this piece because the studs add a little bit of edge to the look. Normally, I would wear boots with this outfit but due to the mild winter we have been experiencing, I swapped out the boots for a pair of black leather Sam Edelman flats. Lastly, I topped my look off with a black leather Coach cross-body bag.
When I am not shopping or reading the latest edition of Vogue, you can catch me working as a florist or even watching some Criminal Minds episodes. I love country music and just about anything Taylor Swift! I am so excited to make this a great semester!
