Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Isa, and this marks my second semester with CollegeFashionista. My first semester as a Style Guru was so great that I am back and ready to bring you even more campus fashion finds! I’m entering my third year at the University of Florida, and I majoring in journalism.
Ever since I was a little girl, I would love to not only dress myself but anyone who would give me the chance to dress them. You can say my passion was fashion, but this semester has shown me that I may be into the entertainment-reporting world as well. The classes I took this past semester have inspired me to go beyond my talents and try something new, so I’ll keep you guys posted on that.
Like I’ve mentioned in the past, I don’t have a personal style or go-to outfit. If I did, I feel like I wouldn’t really be expressing myself and kind of following a uniform. While there are some trends I stay away from, I do like to try them out. If you ever think that you can’t rock anything, just try it out!
I am currently writing this from my apartment in Barcelona, Spain, while I’m studying abroad, and I have been so inspired by the trends here. To my surprise, I found that most people are still wearing jeans and jackets during this time, but Spaniards sure do know how to accessorize! From patches to espadrilles, I have definitely seen it all this month.
This outfit was inspired by a specific area in Barcelona called The Gothic Quarters. With its Medieval feel and brown tones, I threw on this little set to match the setting. Sets are also very practical because if you’re having a tough time finding an outfit, they kind of do the work for you! Because the print is busy, I kept it simple with lace-up flats, a gold bracelet and sunglasses.
As spring came to an end and summer has just begun, I invite you to stay tuned on all the Fashionistas/os this summer as we see how they style their looks in the heat!
