Hey Style Gurus! I’m Italiana Anderson, hailing all the way from the hospitality state of Mississippi. I attend the University of Mississippi where I am majoring in journalism with a minor in English. Being a part of the CollegeFashionista family is such an honor, and I am more than excited to be a Style Guru this semester.
My love for fashion first came from watching America’s Next Top Model as a young girl. From then on, I knew fashion was my passion. Everything about fashion intrigues me whether it’s finding a vintage piece at a thrift store or finally being able to buy a high-fashion blouse you have been saving up for. I believe it is all about how you make an outfit look. Only you can make a look stand out by just being yourself. Although fashion is a love of mine, so is writing and photography. I have been writing for about five years now, and I began to love photography not too long ago. Fashion and writing come easy to me, but being able to capture your vision in photos is amazing too.
Putting my style into words is difficult because I have many ways that I express it. Minimalistic, edgy, and chic are more of my forte, but simplicity is the key for my wardrobe. “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”—words from the infamous CoCo Chanel.
In this look, I chose to embody my simple, chic, and edgy style. Here I am wearing my go-to pair of distressed black jeans and a Drake-inspired graphic T-shirt underneath an olive green bomber jacket. I chose classic white Converse for my footwear. As for my accessories, I kept it simple with a gold watch and a black suede wrap choker.
Starting this journey with CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru is going to be a great one. I can’t wait to showcase some #RAD styles for my fellow Fashionistas!
