Hello wonderful people of CollegeFashionista. My name is Jacquelyn Greenfield. I usually go by Jackie (Jax, if I really like you.). I am finishing up my third semester at Borough of Manhattan Community College in Tribeca. Right now I am an English major, but I plan on switching to journalism and design once I transfer to a four year (fingers crossed!). I honestly had no idea what I wanted to do when I started college three semesters ago, and I still don’t. What I do know is that fashion is a big part of my life, and I intend on it being part of my future.
I have this really odd love for New York. I was born here, but after the tragedy of 9/11, I had to move to Florida, where I spent most of my life. I always knew I would come back to New York when I was a little kid, which is exactly what I did right after high school. I find everything about New York amazing. You will never hear me say a bad thing about this beautiful city.
I’ve had a “passion for fashion” ever since I can remember. There is something about always wanting to look nice no matter the occasion that I take pride in. Even on the days I would dress more casual, I still had to make sure I was put together (which is why I won best dressed in high school).
I’m not your average fashion enthusiast. I can never stick to just one style. I often jump from preppy, to street style, to bohemian chic, to minimalistic, and to whatever else I’m feeling that day. Now that it’s almost winter time, I have an addiction to coat shopping. My favorite one thus far is a brown faux fur coat from Forever 21. It’s so warm, its crazy. I swore I could feel people getting near me to get warm on the subway! I paired it with a simple black roll-neck top, a pair of distressed black jeans, and black sock boots.
