Hello there! My name is Jada. I am a freshman studying criminal justice at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. This being my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista, I am so excited and grateful to be creating content that I hope all of you will love and benefit from. Photography and writing are two things that I have a strong passion for, and I love being able to use them through fashion, lifestyle, and beauty.
Being an introvert, I am having a small problem getting more involved on campus. Despite that, I am currently writing for FreshU, an online publication where freshmen can express themselves and their experiences on campus. When I’m not drowned in assignments, I like reading and practicing photography. I’m addicted to coffee, so I’m always looking for a place near campus where I can try new coffee. I also have a serious case of wanderlust, so I am always looking for somewhere to travel. I’m not sure what I want to do with my life at the moment, but I imagine traveling the world and learning about different cultures and ways of life. Can you imagine all the food I could try? My eyes water just thinking about it. Acting is also a passion that I’ve had since I was little, but I bounce back and forth on whether I would like to do it for a career.
For this outfit, I knew I wanted to be warm and comfy. I chose my favorite wool coat because it’s so warm. Beige is one of my favorite colors, so this coat is a staple piece for the winter. I partnered it with my loose turtleneck sweater. Drooping turtlenecks allow warmth without the feeling of being choked. Plus, they add a little more detail to an outfit. A large beige/brown tote is essential! It adds a nice pop to the whole thing and brings a classy feeling. Lastly, I love a good pair of skinny jeans—the type that hugs the curves and gives a little something to every outfit. I recommend jeans with stretch (You can’t tell, but these are high-waisted!)
I look forward to having a wonderful semester with each and every one of you! Peace and blessings, babes.
