I’m a casual Chicago girl named Jakaria. My style on a day-to-day basis usually is determined by my mood when I wake up. I usually go for leggings and a hoodie. On my more fashionable days, you can usually catch me in some nice high-waisted jeans and a cute top with shoes that make a statement to set the look off.
I’m a very laid back girl. I try to keep my style simple, yet memorable. The outfit below is simple, yet has some pieces that will catch some eyes. The high-waisted jeans with the washed up denim looked great in the sun! I paired it with this black sweater with cut-outs in the back and shoulders which are a nice added surprise to the look. It’s wearable for the winter and still cute at the same time.
The shoes complete the look nicely they are simple and sleek but cute enough to make someone stop and ask “where did you get those?” My accessories simply add a touch of my personality and who I am. I have on a simple sterling silver cross necklace to add a personal touch to the look. If I wanted an edgier look I would have gone for a choker. To set off a look I usually do my makeup to add some more flare to the look I love a dark lip in the winter time. Although with this look, I just stuck with a simple sheer pink lipgloss.
Overall, I’m a simple girl who likes to make a subtle statement through small pieces that show my personality. If I’m not wearing a casual look or my jeans and a cute top, you can catch me dressed more professionally. Because I am a broadcast journalism major, I practice that often by popping on jeans and a bold blazer paired with some heels or cute flats to bring it all together. Simplicity with a little pizzazz is the way to go, in my opinion!
