STYLE GURU BIO: Jamie Ohl

Hello fellow Fashionistas/os! It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to head back to school. My name is Jamie Ohl and, after another crazy summer, I am entering into my senior year as a Business major at Washington State University with an emphasis in Finance and International Relations. A few of my favorite things are fashion and music, so expect lots of festival fashion throughout the semester. However, my passion lies in traveling and experiencing all that the world has to offer.

Growing up, I’ve been to just about every campsite and tourist attraction across the greater Pacific Northwest with family and friends. Now that I’m older, my parents have been living Manchester, UK for the past few years and my friends, who already graduated, have moved all across the globe. Any time there is a school break or long weekend you can find me on a plane off to explore these exotic destinations, both domestic and abroad.

With both family and friends living across the pond, it is safe to say that my personal style has been heavily influenced by English and European fashions. I love how British culture is both classy and sophisticated while remaining effortlessly chic. It is these ideals and a sense of timeless elegance that I have worked to encompass into my own wardrobe.

One trend from overseas I am currently obsessed with is short bootie heels that can match with anything. They are comfortable and easy to walk in even on the most uneven of cobblestone streets, plus the leather makes them able to withstand harsh weather and last  season after season. That being said, on both sides of the Atlantic one can never go wrong with a stylish trench or a classic little black dress. I love this dress in particular as the embellished cut-out neckline requires only minimal accessories; an oversized watch, carry-all purse and my favorite bowler hat is all I need before walking out the door.

I look forward to sharing this semester of style with all of you and cheers to a fashionable fall 2015!
