Hey there, Fashionistas! My name is Jamie Yale and I am a junior at the University of Georgia where I study Public Relations and fashion merchandising. I have spent the past two years living in the wonderful college town of Athens, Georgia and absorbing the southern culture!
I was born and raised in a small town outside of Philadelphia where my family frequently took trips to New York City and spent the summers at the Jersey shore. Having witnessed trends across the East Coast, I have a very eclectic collection of fashion tastes. My favorite looks range from white beach crop tops to dark jeans for the city or a frilly skirt for a country concert.
I consider myself a very savvy shopper, so you can often find me hunting for an undiscovered secondhand treasure at Goodwill or ripping my own jeans. However, I strongly believe quality is important, so I will often treat myself to a Michael Kors boot or a dress from the boutique where I work (The Black Petticoat, located in Athens).
For almost my entire life, I have been an avid equestrian and horse lover, which has impacted my view on fashion. I recently became interested in applying my love for fashion to the clothing I wear to the horse farm. Although these outfits will inevitably become ridden with dirt, I have learned to embrace dark colors and simplicity. I am extremely excited to begin this journey as a Style Guru and read some incredible articles!
