Hello Fashionistas/os, my name is Jane Zhang and I’m thrilled to be a Style Guru for this summer! I am currently a first year student at University of California, Davis, double majoring in Textiles & Clothing and Managerial Economics in hopes to be a stylist and a fashion buyer.
Coming from San Francisco, I’m privileged to be exposed to different types of style and the laid-back attitude that all San Franciscans share. With the love for traveling, I also had the opportunities to experience how a culture shapes what people wear through its history and lifestyle.To me, fashion is not only about trends but it is also a creative medium for people to express their unique individuality and present what they value in.
My style varies depending on what I’m inspired by; it can be a specific garment that I’m dying to wear or a certain mood that I’m trying to create. Some days it could be cute and chic while other days it could be laid back and casual. The outfit that I’m wearing is a combination of my current obsessions: statement necklaces, halter-necks and rompers. I love how easily I can glam up any outfit with a statement necklace. Halter-necks are something that I’m in love with as it shows skin without being too revealing. And rompers are on my go-to summer shopping list because they can be comfortable but also stylish, which is often my daily styling goal.
Fashion is something that I’ve been fascinated and constantly inspired by. This summer, I will finally get a chance to share to you what my fashion is all about, so stay tuned!
