Hey friends,
My name is Jasmine Johnson, and I am ecstatic to be starting my first semester interning with CollegeFashionista! If you are like me, then fashion has obviously made a big impact on your life. I guess if I could explain how fashion has affected my life I would compare it to Cinderella’s fairy godmother. Rather than an old cloth dress and rags, I was rocking the Justice for Girls monkey sweatpants and wedge flip flops. Fashion has transformed and introduced me to a world of endless possibilities, and it is why I am so excited to share what I have learned throughout my journey.
Currently, I am a  second semester sophomore attending the greatest HBCU in the country, North Carolina A&T State University where I am studying multimedia journalism. It is my ambition to shimmy my way into Grace Coddington’s position as Creative Director of American Vogue magazine as I have always dreamed of being the voice behind the vision of such a well known label. I figure if that doesn’t happen, I will settle on being the next Oprah Winfrey, my lifestyle icon.
The outfit I am wearing is one of my more minimalist looks. Throughout the years, I learned the hard way that the basics are a major key in creating a statement look. That’s why I chose this simple cream colored turtleneck and dark wash skinny jean which are musts for anyone. To jazz up the look, I added a few eye catching pieces like this houndstooth jacket, bright colored purse, and statement necklace. Remember to follow me on social media to stay updated. I hope you enjoyed my post, and as always, stay fabulous!
