Hello there Fashionista/o’s. My name is Jena Bezesky and I am a third-year public relations major. This summer will mark my third semester as a Style Guru representing the University of Florida. I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to intern with CollegeFashionista once again! The beauty of being a Style Guru is that it never feels like what I do is work at all!
However, what I believe I love most about interning with CollegeFashionista is that I have the opportunity to document my outfits and watch my personal style transform with each semester. Looking back at my earlier STYLE GURU STYLE posts, I see a visual story of my life. I was younger, carefree and undecided about my professional goals when I first started at CollegeFashionista. However, with my current internships and graduation awaiting on the horizon as I enter my senior year, my style has gradually matured and simplified.
I recently found that I am drawn to modern, timeless pieces that are sleek and interchangeable. I cannot help but admit that I mildly stalk online paparazzi pictures of the Hadid sisters because i’m so inspired by their edgy and effortless street style. I am a huge fan of both Gigi and Bella’s style because they never look like they try too hard with their easygoing approach they have with their outfits. Similarly, I aspire to dress in a way that is trendy while still being simple.
For my STYLE GURU BIO outfit, I kept things cool and modern in a black bodysuit and a paisley printed skirt. I then accessorized with a rose gold bangle, a gray cross-body bag and western-inspired booties. To top it all off, I threw on a wide-brim fedora to hide my messy bed head. This look is a perfect example of what I’d wear while out to dinner with friends or going to a music festival.
So that’s enough about me and my personal style. What I’m more excited about is finding and photographing all of the stylish outfits that I see students wearing this summer. Stay tuned for a seriously #RAD semester at the University of Florida!
