Hello my fellow fashion lovers! My name is Jenn Vanderlinde and I am so, so, so excited to be starting my first semester with the CollegeFashionista team!
I am currently a junior at the University of Michigan pursuing a degree in English. When I grow up I want to be a sports broadcaster, so look for me on ESPN in about 10 years!
My personal style and tastes are constantly growing and expanding to encompass the more and more amazing things I encounter as I get older and travel farther. At this moment, probably due to the fact that I’m a lazy college student, comfort is my number one priority when it comes to fashion. The old sang “confidence is key” is absolutely correct and you cannot be confident if you are uncomfortable in what you are wearing!
My go-to brand for both style and comfort is Brandy Melville. Coincidentally, this dress is one of my favorite brand pieces. Aiding along my argument supporting comfort and all it’s incredible qualities, in the pictures above I am wearing some nice white Converse, my all time favorite tennis shoe. I would gladly walk a mile in anyone’s shoes if they were Converse.
As the fashion world tells us time and time again, accessories make or break an outfit. There have been few incidents where I have heard something more correct being said. As you could probably guess, I like to keep things simple. I gravitate to small, ornate pieces such as those seen above.
During my time with the CollegeFashionista team I hope to learn and grow with all of the stylish people I know the University of Michigan is home to. I am so excited to start this semester and looking forward to all it has in store! Go Blue!
