I’m excited to be returning for my second full school year with CollegeFashionista! This is my third and final year at UCLA, from which I’ll be graduating in the spring with an English major. While I’m still enjoying college classes and life, I’m also looking forward to a whole world of possibilities.
I’ve always loved being a wordsmith and have recently turned this hobby into an employable skill. Running a few social media accounts, email newsletter chains and blogs keeps me on my toes. Additionally, I’m continuing to work at WhoWhatWear through fall. It has been a seriously amazing opportunity to see the future of editorial fashion as it develops! At the beginning of college, I never could have imagined enjoying fashion as such a large part of my future.
The more I work in fashion, the more my style grows and changes. I’ve learned that while not all trends are for me, I can take on-trend items and make them my own. The outfit in this post showcases some of my favorite trends this year, including felt hats, duster coats, lace-up tops and studded flats. One of my biggest style accomplishments this year has been reintroducing myself to flat shoes! Traversing Los Angeles has never been easier.
One of my favorite seasons, fall, represents a time of positive change. Here’s to the continuation of ’70s trends, sophisticated lines and rich neutral shades. Not to mention, the return of football games, the crisp pages in new notebooks and the hopefulness of fresh beginnings.
