Hello, CollegeFashionista readers! My name is Jenna and I am so excited to be kicking off my second semester as a Style Guru! I am currently a sophomore at Miami University (Ohio) studying journalism and marketing. I aspire to work at a fashion entity of some sort; whether it is writing for a magazine, advertising for a retail corporation or serving on a fashion public relations team. I love working with CollegeFashionista because I get to do a little bit of everything: photograph, write and promote articles via social media.
For an off the grid little town, Oxford, Ohio, home to Miami University, is full of an eclectic mix of chic, stylish and expressive Fashionistas and Fashionistos. While Miami University is often generalized as having a preppy student body, there is a diverse mix of fashion that goes unnoticed. I am eager to continue exploring the popular trends and the deviations of style on my campus.
This look is a good representation of my overall style. I tend to stick with neutrals and classics, but I love to add color or trendy pieces. Right now I am obsessed with everything cable knit. A chunky sweater is perfect for a comfy-cute winter. Lucky for me, the surprisingly warm Midwest weather has extended the use of some of my fall favorites into my winter wardrobe. Booties are extremely comfortable and great for walks along non-snowy paths. You can wear a heeled pair to dress up a pair of jeans, too. I tend to keep my accessories to a minimum, incorporating in different textiles like this Good Works Makes a Difference leather bracelet.
I cannot wait to continue my journey as a Style Guru this semester, and I hope to share some RAD fashion tips and trends! Thanks for reading!
