Hi there! My name is Jennifer Cole, and I’m currently a freshman at the University of California, Los Angeles. I am majoring in Psychobiology with a focus on Pre-med. Although I am following a different interest in college, fashion has always been a passion of mine, and I can’t wait to share this passion with all of my fellow Fashionistas/os!
It is impossible for me to point to a specific time when fashion became such an integral part of my life. Some of my earliest memories are of my mom allowing me to dress up in heels and elbow-length gloves—she let me use fashion to convince myself that I was a princess. I basked in the attention I got from adults. They were simultaneously amused and impressed by the serious thought I put into how I dressed.
Growing up in Southern California has only allowed my fashion-consciousness to thrive; being exposed to the fashionable styles of both Los Angeles and the numerous beach cities surrounding me has definitely influenced my view of fashion. Southern California seems to encompass all different styles. Whenever I see something I like, I obsessively check Pinterest and online stores until I find a similar style.
I love to share any new ideas I come across with others, as well as integrate them into my own sense of fashion. Thankfully, living in this area has allowed me to find other people who love fashion just as much as I do! Although my desire to be a princess has changed, my passion for discussing the finer points of style with other fashion lovers has only grown.
My style generally consists of boho, loose-fitting clothing, like this swing dress. I like to pair these simple outfits with a chunky statement necklace or maybe a light jacket. However, I am always looking for style inspiration, as I love to incorporate new ideas into my own style.
