Hi! My name is Jennifer Kim and I’m a sophomore at University of Oregon studying journalism (public relations) and business administration. I’m super stoked to be a Style Guru this term!
Growing up in Portland, Oregon might just explain why I’m such a big foodie! Sushi, fish tacos and blue cheese are the way to my heart. I love all things cuddly, so don’t apologize for your dog coming up to me!
My fashion icon is definitely Natalie Suarez right now. From her chokers to her bangs, I love everything about her! On non-burrito days (aka no-school days because I often dress like a burrito to class), you can catch me wearing dark washed high-waisted jeans, jelly sandals and my DIY choker necklace made out of a shoe lace!
I describe myself as a minimalist. Actually, I just have a very dear relationship with my bed so keeping my morning routine simple is a must! I would throw on some mascara, a dark lip and Glossier’s boy brow and I’m out the door.
My favorite brands to shop at are Topshop, Free People, NASTY GAL and Reformation. One of my short term goals is to land an internship with Nordstrom and/or NASTY GAL. After college, I wish to work as a manager at Nordstrom or any corporate position for a brand I love!
My favorite book is #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso, founder and owner of NASTY GAL. I’ve never come across anything more inspiring than this little pink book. Everything I do now, I do as a girl boss would.
My proudest girl boss moment was landing this internship with CollegeFashionista. I look forward to creating content as a Style Guru to write about and share my taste of fashion with everyone!
