What’s poppin’?! My name is Jermesha Striblet and I am a junior studying public relations and business entrepreneurship at Bradley University. I consider myself a “trendsetter” and most of the company I keep would agree. I love to look my best. I love experimenting most of all. I love the feeling that I get when I have a well put together outfit on with my hair and makeup perfectly coordinated.
Style and fashion are confidence boosters for me and I strongly believe that when you look good, you feel even better! I’ve always made it my job to make others look good. I do all of my friend’s and family’s hair and makeup and offer tips on what to wear. It’s the outcome that keeps me so involved. I love seeing how a person’s attitude and self perception changes after a “makeover”. As someone who has struggled with their insecurities since childhood, fashion has always been my escape. So I try to give the same experience to those around me.
I love art and music and both of those things have a large influence on my wardrobe. Celebrities like Rihanna, Zendaya, Lady Gaga, and Keke Palmer are people that I look towards for fashion insight.
Getting dressed has to be the most exciting part of my day because I get to create something new each time I put on an outfit. When I look good, I feel even better and a good mood is the best thing to have while being a full-time college student!
