Hey there, Fashionistas/os! It’s so great to share my love of fashion with you guys for the first time with the CollegeFashionista team! I’m super excited to share the unique style that can be found here in the South.
I’m a sophomore Broadcast Journalism major at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. Memphis is known for great music, delicious food and, of course, its Southern charm. Sometimes fashion can be forgotten about in the midst of all the wonderful things going on in the city, but with the help of CollegeFashionista, I’m ready to shed light on an awesome fashion scene.
My love for fashion developed when I was a little girl by trying on my mom’s clothes, putting on fashion shows for my family and even clipping out outfits from Seventeen magazine. As I’ve gotten older, my style has evolved to mix of preppy, trendy and romantic. I love to follow designers like alice + olivia, Vera Wang and BCBGMAXAZRIA. I’m a girl who loves a good deal so I’m always roaming Forever 21, H&M and Target.
Everyone has their own individual style, and I’m automatically drawn to those who break the fashion rules and can rock any outfit. Ultimately, fashion is what you make it. It can be super simple, yet extremely vibrant. Fashion can easily boost your mood, and let’s not forget that there’s nothing wrong with retail therapy.
