Hello everyone! I am Jessica Keim and I just finished my first year at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. As of right now, I did not decide on a major, but intend on majoring in business. I am unsure what area of business I would end up in.
I thought CollegeFashionista could be such a great way to help me guide my life in the right direction. I always loved playing dress up ever since I was little. I would try on my friends’ clothes and my clothes all the time. Sometimes we even made little fashion shows out of our outfits. Fashion was always an idea and an option for my future career but I was never sure. Along with fashion, I have become obsessed with makeup. I have such a huge collection, it’s insane. I buy more and more even when I know I don’t need it, but I want it!
Being in college has really changed my habits, but at first it was hard to adjust to budgeting my money well. I can’t constantly spend and spend, but I have found good stores and online websites that can help me save but still achieve my look.
I grew up in a small little town outside the city. The fashion here was never fancy or out of the ordinary. Most of the time you would see me with a full face of makeup but dressed in yoga pants or leggings. I am obsessed with being comfy during the day. I will normally be sleeping or laying around watching YouTube videos or Netflix when I am not out hanging with my friends. One thing I could probably not live without would be coffee. I am always drinking coffee, even if its 10:00 p.m.
In this look, I am wearing a pretty simple outfit. On the bottom, I am wearing jeans from American Eagle Outfitters, along with black TOMS shoes. TOMS shoes are my go-to shoes in the spring and summer. My top is simple black long sleeve with the open-net top from PacSun along with a leather jacket. Leather jackets are very easy to wear since they can go with everything and complete the look at the same time. And of course with the sun being out you can’t forget about a pair of your favorite sunglasses; mine are Clubmasters by Ray-Ban. This is one of my favorite outfits due its simplicity, since I love being comfy but its also trendy and stylish.
