Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is Jessica Terrones. I’m a 20-year-old studying journalism and media studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and next week, I start my junior year of college…no pressure! Since I shared a lot about myself in my last bio, I figured I’d give you an update on what I did this summer.
I look at summer sixteen as the “summer of internships.” I interned at the Las Vegas Review-Journal, CollegeFashionista and my church here in Las Vegas. Each of my internships relates to journalism or media in some way and wow, have I learned a lot! Though I didn’t do much traveling this summer, I sure did have an eventful summer with three internships under my belt. I have learned so much this summer and I am so excited for what the future holds. I can gladly say that I will be walking into this school year feeling very refreshed, relaxed and enlightened.
While I don’t want summer to come to an end, I’m looking forward to fall because of all the new trends. As you already now, I’m a very neutral and plain girl. I like my black’s, tan’s and whites. That being said, I’m sure you can imagine my excitement now that it’s socially acceptable to wear those colors all season. Goodbye bright colors, see you next year! For this look I paired neutrals with a fall-friendly olive green. I’ve been waiting all year to wear olive green, so I’m having a party over here! I love the sleeveless trench coat because it automatically makes you look professional, the color goes with everything and it’s another timeless piece you can wear any season. This look would be great for your first day of work, school or your internship; it makes you look put together without looking over the top.
I’m so excited for my second semester interning with CollegeFashionista and I can’t wait to chase Fashionistas/Fashionistos all over campus and town. I hope each of you enjoyed your summer vacation as much as I did. I hope your first day of the semester goes well, your professors cut class early during syllabus week and you won’t have to write an essay until at least two weeks in.
