Hey there! My name is Jonnay and I’m currently attending Hawaii Pacific University, majoring in business with a focus in marketing. I live on the tiny and beautiful island of Oahu, where I was fortunate enough to grow up. Although I love my little island home with its tropical vibes and warm weather fashion, I travel every few months just to get a taste of what the rest of the world is like. I’ve explored amazing cities all over the world, like, London, Paris, Rome, New York City, Los Angeles, and Tokyo just to name a few. Traveling has given me the opportunity to experience what fashion is like all over the world, and because of that, I fell in love with it.
Ever since I was little girl, I would play dress up and wear a bunch of crazy accessories because I loved fashion and thought I looked pretty good in all that hot pink. Nowadays, my fashion and sense of style have definitely changed for the better, but I still love dressing up in my favorite outfits. I wouldn’t say that I have a certain style or go-to look simply because I love all types of fashion, and I usually dress according to the occasion or how I’m feeling. When i’m shopping, I usually splurge on new clothes and accessories because I enjoy trying out new and bold looks.
I picked out my absolute favorite clothes and overall look for my Style Guru Bio. It’s my version of a not-so-cold winter look. For this look, I chose a cropped, black, turtleneck top. I love turtlenecks because they not only provide warmth and comfort, but a simple and chic look as well. I chose a plaid mini skort because plaid is one of my favorite prints. To recreate this look, a plaid mini skirt would serve as a great substitute for the skort. Last, but definitely not least, I chose black, high-heel, thigh-high boots to complete my look. The boots are my favorite part of the look because they’re pretty fierce and are the perfect length to compliment a skirt or skort!
I’m so fortunate to have been given this opportunity to become a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, and I’m really excited for what’s to come throughout this semester! I hope I can get to know all of you lovely people and make many friends.
