Hi again pretty people! I hope everyone’s school year is off to a great start, and you are just as excited as I am for new trends to be popping up this fall. This will be my second semester as a Style Guru, and I’m super pumped to be back at it and on my campus at Ohio University. If this is your first time reading one of my posts then welcome to get to know a little bit more about me. I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and entering my sophomore year majoring in retail merchandising and fashion product development.
My style is definitely a reflection of my “full of life” personality, and my hopes are that it’s a way for me to say who I am without saying anything at all. I’m no stranger to bold prints, colors and trends; sometimes I love pulling all three components together into one edgy look. This leaf print skirt is my new obsession since its so easy to dress it up or down with either a bodysuit or a v-neck. Mixing and matching is the best part about fashion because you can always make an outfit seem like brand-new by switching out different items. Take my shoes, for example; while I’m in love with the gladiator trend, I can’t help but want to pair my adidas Superstars with anything from cropped jeans to skirts to T-shirt dresses. Accessories are a girl’s best friend and is my key to making any outfit go from drab to fab in an instant.
I’m a lover of any and all gold jewelry—from dainty to statement pieces; I have it all. I’m always rocking my Alex and Ani bracelets that seem to tell a story to someone new wherever I go, and I can’t leave my house without my chunky gold and tortoise shell watch. Loose curls and a pair of sunnies are how you’ll usually find me running around campus from my fashion classes to fun sisterhoods at my sorority house. So if you ever see me grabbing an iced caramel macchiato from Front Room (my favorite study spot on campus), be sure to come say hi.
Looking forward to this semester and all that comes with it—can I mention the pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters and amazing weather?
Here’s to a #RAD semester, happy reading!
