Hello fellow Style Gurus and Fashionistas! My name is Jordyn Dawson, and I am currently a senior studying Fashion Merchandising at Stevenson University. I am so excited to be a Style Guru for the spring semester and am looking forward to giving my readers an inside look of all things fashion from my school and amazing city.
I am born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. As you can see by my lovely photos, it is mid-December, and I am still able to wear cropped jeggings and a military jacket outside without freezing to death. Baltimore weather can never seem to make up its mind. With the rain coming and going as it pleases, I need to be prepared with my Hunter umbrella as I go about finishing up my holiday shopping. I also paired my outfit with my Michele Tahitian Jelly Band Watch and favorite Eye of Horus ring that I like to think brings me good luck.
My style literally changes every day. Sometimes, if I’m feeling edgy, I’ll wake up and throw on a pair of vans with a leather jacket whereas other times I want to dress really feminine with a floral dress and heels. It all depends on my mood and where I am going. My friends say they sometimes will try and guess what “Jordyn” they will be seeing that night because my style keeps them on their toes (as well as my personality).
I am really excited to have an outlet to document the different fashions I see throughout Baltimore, but I am also especially looking forward to seeing my own style change as the semester progresses.
