Hello fellow fashion lovers! I am Joyce Liu, a visual communications freshman at the University of Texas at Arlington. I like to experiment with different styles as you will see in future posts!
I have never viewed styling my clothes as a chore, instead it was quite therapeutic. By wearing the clothes that I wanted, I was able to express myself better and became more confident in who I was. That is the same empowerment I want everyone to feel when it comes to fashion! I gather inspiration from other people, whether or not they come from magazines or YouTube.
Graphic tees are one of my favorite pieces to rock, because they can make an outfit really pop. Comfort is key in my outfits when I am going to school. I love to wear heels but when you have to hike from one side of the campus to the other, its just not practical. Instead of heels, I usually opt for sneakers because they are great for traveling around the campus and make every outfit casual.
When figuring out what to wear, I ask myself a few questions such as “What am I doing today? Will what I am wearing right now be appropriate?” I am all about turning heads because of a cute outfit, but I don’t want to overdo anything too much.
