Hey Fashionista/os! My name is Julia, and I am currently studying hospitality and global marketing management at Pace University in New York City. When I’m not daydreaming about how I am going to furnish my future apartment, you’ll most likely find me watching The Office, online shopping, or over analyzing my Instagram feed.
This past fall semester of my sophomore year I found myself immersed in the fashion world more than I had ever been before. I started paying close attention to the current trends and trying to recreate them to the T, and by that I mean as close as I could get on my college student budget, of course. Through trial and error, I started to find my own personal style and began using that to express myself. I have finally learned to wear what makes me comfortable while sometimes pushing myself to wear a not-so-ordinary piece. Wearing clothing that you adore is such an amazing feeling, so much so that I finally took the time to clean out the depths of my closet and get rid of everything I had hoarded since freshman year of high school.
The look I have here is a combination of looking put-together with an element of comfort. I cannot get enough of oversize sweaters, and this deep V-neck sweater has been my go-to this whole winter season. It is extremely cozy and warm, making it perfect for those cold winter days we get way too much of here in New York. The best thing about oversize sweaters is how you can wear them with just about anything. When I’m not pairing them with distressed denim, I’ll throw on a pair of leggings and head to class for that ultimate feeling of comfort. Another trend I’ve been obsessed with for a while now is black heeled booties, especially when they have a unique detail to them. My motto is that you can never have too many booties, and my closet would probably agree with that.
I can’t wait to share the looks I find with the CollegeFashionista world and am really looking forward to being a Style Guru this semester!
