Although it is not January, August is the start of many new beginnings, like the school year. For many, it is their first semester of college with many new experiences ahead of them. And for many others, it is the beginning of their last year in school and a time to start figuring out the next move. For me, it is the start of my senior year at the University of Mary Washington and I could not be more excited.
This month also marks the beginning of my third semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. Being a part of the CF team has taught me so much about getting out of my comfort zone and really developing myself and my style as a brand, especially on social media. CollegeFashionista has also opened me up to a ton of different styles and inspiration by having access to articles written by Style Gurus all around the world.
My go-to look is super casual and comfortable but simultaneously stylish. The outfit I have on here is a classic example of that. The destroyed jeans and bodysuit are ultra trendy pieces that also allow me to be comfortable in any situation.
My style has definitely shifted more towards a classic street style look over the past year. I really love pairing jeans with an awesome pair of sneakers like the outfit I have on here. It’s super edgy and stylish without being uncomfortable. Although I still love the look of a killer heel, stylish tennis shoes have definitely become my new staple piece.
I can’t wait to see what the rest of the beginning of this school year has to bring and I’m excited to share it with my friends as well as my CF family.
