Stella Blum once said, “Fashion is so close in revealing a person’s inner feelings and everybody seems to hate to lay claim to vanity so people tend to push it away. It’s really too close to the quick of the soul.”
Hello fellow fashion lovers! My name is Julia Sanchez and I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am studying Theatre Performance with a minor in Communications. This is my second semester as a Style Guru, and seeing how much fun the summer semester was, I could not be happier to be returning for the fall.
One of the greatest things about being a Style Guru is the opportunity to meet so many diverse and fashionable students. Just in the last semester, I was lucky enough to encounter so many different unique styles; and with each of those unique styles comes a unique personality. I have always personally believed that true style is whatever makes you feel happy, confident and strong.
For my look, I started off with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. Too add a touch of quirk I added one of my favorite graphic T-shirts: a gray Barbie crop top. The cute T-shirt gave me all the strength I needed to get through my first day of classes for the semester and the pink Barbie logo added the perfect pop of color. To keep the outfit casual, I chose a black studded pair of sandals.
Now that we are getting back into the swing of school, I can’t wait to start searching my college campus to bring you the most unique and stylish Fashionistas/os around!
