Hello, Fashionistas!! My name is Julie Meza, also known as Jules, and I am from a suburb of Chicago. I am currently a senior at Saint Mary’s College–Notre Dame pursuing a degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and management. I have been a part of the CollegeFashionsta team for two semesters prior to this one and I could not be more excited to be back.
Growing up near a big city like Chicago played a significant role in developing my passion for the fashion and beauty industry. Although I grew up as a very quiet individual, over time, I found myself creating a voice and becoming more confident through my own personal style. I believe a great wardrobe combines a great mix of everyday basics while also incorporating various trendy pieces.
Currently, I have been keeping my style pretty simple. I paired a heavy cable knit turtleneck with a pair of dark wash jeans and black boots to give a monochromatic essence to my look. However, I wanted to keep the focus on this oatmeal color coat. Although the fit is a little big, it plays into the menswear look for women that is a huge trend at the moment. For accessories, I love to mix metals and combine different types of jewelry. So, I incorporated a long layered necklace, a big watch, and some rings.
I am very excited to be back with the CollegeFashionista team. Wishing everyone a great semester and I am looking forward to being inspired by my fellow Fashionistas!
